Explanation of Each Field
The following describes the fields that are configured in the Multi Format Information.
1. Multi Format Information
This field specifies the ID to identify the registered multi format.
The Multi Format ID is associated with the Multi Format ID in the Send Management Information.
This field specifies the start position of the key that is used to select the format ID of the relevant record.
Set this value so that the sum of the Key Start Position and the Key Length is no larger than '19998.' You cannot set this value so that the sum of the Key Start Position and the Key Length is '19999' or larger.
If the value specified for the Key Start Position is higher than the specification for the length in the Format Information record, HULFT cannot convert the data correctly.
This field specifies the length of the key that is used to select the format ID of the relevant record.
This field specifies the default format ID when the keys in the file do not match any of the keys that are registered in the Multi Format Information.
If you specify the Default Format ID, HULFT uses the format of the default format ID when the keys in the data do not match any of the keys that are registered in the Multi Format Information record. If you do not specify this field, a conversion error occurs when the keys do not match.
This field specifies the key that is set for each record.
Specify alphanumeric characters with the same length as the Key Length.
HULFT does not accept duplicate key values for one multi format ID. Specify the Key Value and the Format ID as a pair.
You can register up to 20 pairs.
This field specifies the format ID that is used when the keys match.
Specify the Format ID that is registered in the Format Information. You must register the same number of IDs as for the Key Value. HULFT identifies the format ID from the key value and applies the format to the data.
You can register up to 20 pairs.
This field specifies the comment for the multi format.
2. Additional information other than Multi Format Information
This additional information is displayed together with the Multi Format Information on each screen where you edit the Multi Format Information. You can view and modify this information on screens in HULFT-HUB Manager.
| [Note] | You cannot view this additional information on the Management screen on the client (HULFT) side. |
This field specifies the alias for the multi format.
It is recommended that you assign a unique name in the Multi Format Information so that each multi format ID that is displayed on screens in HULFT-HUB Manager can be easily identified.
This field specifies the Business Group ID that uses this Multi Format Information.
This field shows the Batch Distribution Information ID with which the Multi Format Information is registered as distribution data (Cannot be modified).
Points to be Noted When Configuring Settings
1. When Format Information is not applied correctly
If the value specified for the Key Start Position is higher than the specification for the length in the Format Information record, HULFT cannot convert the data correctly.
If the Format Information for the specified format ID has a 'P' (Signed Internal Decimal) or 'S' (Signed External Decimal) type field before the Key Start Position, the correct Format Information may not be applied.
Register a format that includes a key value in the Format Information that is registered in the Format Management Information.
