When HUB Multicasting is performed using AES encryption, an error may occur on the receiving side.

Condition to reproduce

If all the following conditions are met and you perform a transfer, this phenomenon occurs:

• 'Cipher Option AES' is installed in all HULFT and HULFT-HUB Server instances

• DEFLATE compression can be used on the receiving-side host

• Both the sending side and receiving side are HULFT Ver.8.4.0 or later

• Encryption Scheme in the System Environment Settings is set to 'Other Encryption Scheme'

• A value is set for Cipher Key in the Send Management Information and Receive Management Information

• 'DEFLATE' is set for Compression Preference in the Send Management Information and Receive Management Information

• 'HUB Multicasting' is set for Relay/Multicasting Settings and Transfer Type in the Relay/Multicasting Settings Information

• One of the following is set for Accumulation Condition in the Relay/Multicasting Settings Information

  • 'Never Accumulate'

  • 'Accumulate Only When Unable to Transfer'

  • 'Transfer and Accumulate Concurrently'

Alternative workaround

This phenomenon can be avoided with one of the following methods:

• Change the route setting to 'HULFT Multicasting via HUB'

• Change the accumulation condition to 'Deliver after Accumulation'

Status description

Even if the conditions to reproduce are met, the transfer completes successfully.
