A request from HULFT-HUB Manager may not be successfully processed by a client (HULFT), which results in an error being output to the Request Acknowledge Log of the client (HULFT)

Phenomenon

A request from HULFT-HUB Manager may not be successfully processed by HULFT for IBMi Ver.8.4 or later, which results in an error being output to the Request Acknowledge Log of the client (HULFT).

When this phenomenon occurs, the following error is output to the Request Acknowledge Log of the client (HULFT):

Measure:

Error may be due to a socket or OS error, etc. Please check the settings of your environment.

Condition to reproduce

If all the following conditions are met, the phenomenon may occur:

• The clients (HULFT) are HULFT for IBMi Ver.8.4 and later

• The following are requested from HULFT-HUB Manager to the clients (HULFT):

  • Send Log List

  • Receive Log List

  • Request Acknowledge Log List

  • Send and Receive Status List

  • Resend Queue Status List

• All instances of HULFT-HUB Manager are terminated. Or, one of the following client utilities is executed:

  • Client Registration utility (utlhubclientreg)

  • Registered Client Log List Display utility (utlhubclientloglist)

  • Management Information Synchronization utility (utlhubsync)

  • Management Information Batch Registration utility (utlhubiupdt)

None

Status description

Even if the conditions to reproduce are met, requests from HULFT-HUB Manager will be successfully processed.
