Benefits of the system

HULFT-HUB offers the following benefits.

Reduction of TCO

  • In the multicasting operation of HULFT-HUB, a file is transferred from the sending side HULFT to HULFT-HUB Server only once, and the HULFT-HUB Server then transfers that file to each receiving side HULFT. This helps reduce the burden of the sending side HULFT when a file is sent to a lot of sites.

  • Even when HULFT-HUB Manager cannot directly connect to HULFT, if connection can be made through multiple HULFT-HUB Servers, the target HULFT can be managed or monitored. Since HULFT systems in remote areas can also be centrally managed, the number of monitoring sites can be reduced.

Improved security

  • Communication between HULFT-HUB Servers and between HULFT-HUB Server and HULFT-HUB Manager is encrypted with a cipher key automatically set each time data transferred (the user can specify that no encryption is performed). Since the user does not have to set a cipher key, you can prevent the user from omitting to set a cipher key. This enhances the security functionality because even communication routed through an external network such as the Internet is relayed by HULFT-HUB Server.

  • In the conventional HULFT, the user's operation permission was set on a per-host basis. In HULFT-HUB, by registering users and clients in a business group, you can collectively set the operation permission of all the users who belong to the same business group. By creating the same business group for each server, you can operate across multiple servers.

Improved efficiency in transfer information management

  • From HULFT-HUB Manager, you can collectively set transfer definitions for sending side clients and receiving side clients. Even for defining many clients at a time for such operations as multicasting transfer, you can prevent both omission to set a transfer definition and definition discrepancies.

Improved transfer error recovery

  • You can monitor the transfer status of a client under HULFT-HUB Server in real time from HULFT-HUB Manager. Because the transfer statuses of multiple clients can be monitored on a single window, you can immediately respond when an error occurs.

The transfer statuses of data that is transferred directly from HULFT to HULFT are monitored at regular intervals, rather than in real time.

Expansion of file transfer function and improved availability

  • Transfer data sent by a client is temporarily accumulated in HULFT-HUB Server to absorb the difference in operating time between clients and realize non-synchronization for file transfer. This enables the Receiving Side Client to perform hardware or software maintenance without stopping the whole business system.
