What is the real-time preview function?

In Mapper, to define conversion and the processing of data easily while confirming the processing result, the real-time preview function is prepared.
The conversion result can be in real time confirmed by the test result view by setting the value for the test by the test data view.

In default, the test data view is not displayed.Select designer's menu [View] -[Show test data view] and display the test data view.

Method of editing test data

In the test data view, the test data is edited and it is possible to confirm it.
There are three categories of "Input document", "Component variable", and "Input script variable" in data for the test that can be set.

Input document
Edit input former data. The setting method changes depending on the data model of an input former component.
- For the table model type
  Add the line with the "+" icon, and input the value.
- For the XML type
  The XML data is described directly.

Component variable
Set the component variable.
Add the line with the "+" icon, select an arbitrary component variable from the list of [Name], and input a set value to [Value].
Input script variable
Set the input script variable.
Add the line with the "+" icon, select an arbitrary script variable from the list of [Name], and input a set value to [Value].

The test result view is not displayed in default as well as the test data view.Select designer's menu [View]-[Show test result view] and display the test result view.

For the output script variable
Add the line with the icon, and select an arbitrary script variable from the list of [Name].

Specification Limits

When the data of the column of the character string type is empty for the test data in the input document, it is treated as a dead letter character.

On the other hand, when the data of the column other than the character string type are empty, it is treated as null.

When the following requirements are met, a real-time test is executed in document Mapper and merging.
- The input schema and the output schema are set.
- The input data flow is pulled.
- XML type data or table model type data not empty is set to the input document.

If a script variable in the date/time type or in the binary type is used as an input data, the real time test cannot be performed.

You can define the same variable name to several component variable editor of the test data view and the script variable editor. The variable located at the very bottom is reflected.

If you define several variables to the test data view, a component variable editor in the test result view, or a script variable editor, the order of the variables may change by reopening the test data view or the test result view.

The real time test cannot be performed when the below Mapper Logics are used.
- Retrieve data by execution SQL
- Replace by DB Table

Notes

The input document of the test data view might not be displayed.
It becomes possible to display by clicking the component icons other than Mapper once when not displayed, and clicking Mapper again.

When the mapping of the output script variable is added and deleted, the test result data might not be updated.
Operate the movement of logic on the campus etc. when it is not updated.
