Excel Write Wizard

Excel Write Wizard is a function to perform the write settings for Write simply with dragging operation.

Excel Write Wizard Settings Screen Properties

Item name Description Remarks
Sheet name The sheet name selected in Select range of writing is displayed.
  • You cannot enter it directly.
Writing starting cell The writing starting cell selected in Select range of writing is displayed.
  • You cannot enter it directly.
Select "Select range of writing" dialog will appear.  
Column list The Column name / Format settings / Type selected in Select range of writing are displayed.
Selected column name is displayed after Get column name.
  • For more details on each item, refer to "Write" page.
Get column name "Get column name" dialog will appear.
  • It is enabled after selecting the range of writing.
Cancel "Excel Write Wizard" settings screen is closed.  
Finish "Excel Write Wizard" settings screen is closed, and the setting items of the wizard is reflected to the properties of Write.  

Operation method of Excel Write Wizard

Launch Excel Write Wizard and Select range of writing

  1. Click [Open Excel Wizard] from the properties of Write.

  2. The Excel file selected in [File] is displayed in read-only mode and "Select range of writing" dialog will appear.


  3. Select by dragging the range of the writing column on the cell and click [OK] button.
    Since the number of written rows depend on the input data, you cannot specify the row range.
    You can select up to 500 columns for writing range in Excel Write Wizard. When you want to specify a range exceeding 500 columns, set the [Column list] manually from the properties of Write.


  4. "Select range of writing" dialog is closed and "Excel Write Wizard" settings screen is displayed.
    To reflect the selected writing starting cell and writing column, you can perform the following settings.

    Item name Setting value
    Writing starting cell Starting cell of the selected writing range
    Column list/Column name The value of the row before the selected writing range
    Column list/Format settings [Use format of the cell for writing]
    Column list/Type The value of cell format in the first row of the selected writing range
    Column list/Format Empty string


  5. When you click [Finish] button, the setting items are reflected to the properties of Write.

Get column name

To change the column names at once, perform the following operations.
  1. Click on [Get column name] button.

  2. "Excel Write Wizard" settings screen is closed, and "Get column name" dialog appears.

  3. Select by dragging the column used for column name on the cell and click [OK] button.
    You can specify one row of cells with the number of columns same as the range selected in "Select range of writing" dialog.


  4. "Get column name" dialog is closed and "Excel Write Wizard" settings screen is displayed.
    Column name selected in [Column name] of [Column list] is displayed.


  5. When you click [Finish] button, the setting items are reflected to the properties of Write.

End of Excel Write Wizard

For completing the wizard settings

  1. Click on [Finish] button.

  2. Excel Write Wizard is closed and the setting items of the wizard are reflected to the properties of Write.

For canceling the wizard settings

  1. Click on [Cancel] button.

  2. Excel Write Wizard is closed.
