Users

User types and operational permissions

The following users exist in HULFT DataCatalog.

The permissions differ for the addition of resources, users, groups, tags, and terms.

Type

Overview

Admin

This is a user who has all operational permissions, regardless of group membership or registration as an owner.

Note that only the Admin user can add, edit, or delete users.

Steward

This is a user who has multiple operational permissions.

The addition of resources, groups, terms, and tags is available.

Member

This is a basic user.

Only the addition of tags is available.

Regardless of these operational permissions, an owner can obtain permissions other than addition, such as editing and deletion. Refer to Owners for details.

 

Editing of users

For the editing of users, the relationship between the type of user and the editable fields is as follows:

= Remarks =

To enable or disable user accounts, select "User status". Disabled user accounts have user information, but cannot log in or perform any other operations.

 

Method for adding users

Only Admin users can add users.

1. Click [User] - [User] from the header menu.

2. Click [Add].

3. When the registration screen is displayed, enter the required information and click [Register].

 

Method for editing users

= Remarks =
  • Only Admin users can edit users.

  • To edit the information of the login user, click [Profile] from the user icon on the upper-right of the screen.

1. Click [User] - [User] from the header menu.

2. Select the user you want to edit, and click [Edit].

3. When the screen to edit users is displayed, enter the required information and click [Register].

 

Method for deleting users

Only Admin users can delete users.

1. Click [User] - [User] from the header menu.

2. Select the user you want to delete, and click [Delete].

3. When the confirmation screen is displayed, click [Delete].
