Startup of the HULFT DataCatalog service

When you start the service for the first time, an initial user is created. The default language setting for the initial user is Japanese.

To create an initial user whose language setting is English, refer to "hulft.datacatalog.root.language" in Properties file and change the language setting of the initial user before starting the service for the first time.

When you restart the service after you delete "app.mv.db" in the "data" folder, an initial user is created again. When you start the service with an unintended language set for the initial user, only if you have not yet started operations, restart the service after deleting "app.mv.db" in the "data" folder.

Do not delete "app.my.db" after starting operations because if you do, all registered data will be completely deleted.
1. Start the Administrative Tools in Windows and select [Services].
2. From the services list, right-click "HULFT DataCatalog" and select [Start] from the context menu.

If the service does not start, an error may have occurred. Check whether an error has occurred by using the Windows application log.

If the default port number (8080) is already used by another application, change the port number, and then start the "HULFT DataCatalog" service. Refer to Modification of the port number for how to change the port number.
