Deleting the backup data

If the backup data is no longer necessary, delete the data.

1. Delete the DataMagic Server or DataMagic Desktop backup folder.

After the installation is complete, the previous installation folder is copied to a concatenation of the date and time string. This folder is saved as a backup folder. Check whether the migration completed correctly, and then delete the backup folder if it is not needed.

If the information was not migrated correctly for some reason, check for possible causes such as insufficient free disk space, and then restore the environment using a backup (usually by deleting the date and time from the backup directory name).

2. Delete the DataMagic Manager backup folder.

After the installation is complete, the previous installation folder is copied to a concatenation of the date and time string. This folder is saved as a backup folder. Check whether the migration completed correctly, and then delete the backup folder if it is not needed.

Migration is now complete.
