Backing up DataMagic Desktop

You can back up DataMagic Desktop by performing the steps below. We recommend performing the following steps by the user who installed DataMagic Desktop, or by the system administrator.

1. Move to the directory where DataMagic Desktop is installed.

2. Make sure that the DataMagic Desktop environment.

3. Create a backup.

Copy the following files to any folder under the DataMagic Desktop installation folder.

  • installation-folder\huldm_mgr.db

  • installation-folder\huldm.ini

  • installation-folder\huledpro.ini

  • Shared data storage folder

You can locate the path for the shared data storage folder by referring to installation-folder\huledpro.ini.

4. Confirm that the backup was created successfully.

 

The backup procedure is now complete.
