Registering a DataMagic Server host

Field descriptions

Host name

Name that identifies the connection host

Connection method

Method used to connect to the host

IP address

IP address of the connection destination host

Request acknowledge Port No.

Number of the port that receives requests for DataMagic Server on the connection destination host

The Request acknowledge port No. must be the same as the setting for the request acknowledge port number (port) in the system environment settings file (huledenv.conf). If you change the request acknowledge port number from the default, also change the setting in the system environment settings file.

Interval at which the screens are automatically refreshed

Set this host as the default host

Select this box to specify this host as the default host

Enable unencrypted communication

Select this to enable unencrypted communication from the encryption version of DataMagic Manager to a host on which the non-encryption version of DataMagic Server is installed.

Display the Windows default dialog box when selecting a file or folder

Specify this if you want to display the Windows default dialog box when selecting a file or folder.

This option is valid if the destination host is installed on the same Windows and DataMagic Manager.

If you are connecting to a host that is installed on another OS, do not specify this option.

Otherwise, you are displayed the Windows default dialog box, and you will not be able to see the DataMagic Server files in the destination host.

In such case, the operation is not guaranteed.
