Registering a DataMagic Server host
To connect to a DataMagic Server machine, set the information of the destination host.
Click New in the Host Management - DataMagic Manager screen.

Number of the port that receives requests for DataMagic Server on the connection destination host
The Request acknowledge port No. must be the same as the setting for the request acknowledge port number (port) in the system environment settings file (huledenv.conf). If you change the request acknowledge port number from the default, also change the setting in the system environment settings file.

Select this box to specify this host as the default host
- Enable unencrypted communication

Select this to enable unencrypted communication from the encryption version of DataMagic Manager to a host on which the non-encryption version of DataMagic Server is installed.
- Display the Windows default dialog box when selecting a file or folder

Specify this if you want to display the Windows default dialog box when selecting a file or folder.
This option is valid if the destination host is installed on the same Windows and DataMagic Manager.
If you are connecting to a host that is installed on another OS, do not specify this option.
Otherwise, you are displayed the Windows default dialog box, and you will not be able to see the DataMagic Server files in the destination host.
In such case, the operation is not guaranteed.
After you finish registering the information for the destination, run the connection test.
When you click the Test Connection button, the Test Connection dialog box appears.

Click the Connect button to start the connection test.
If the connection test finishes successfully, the following dialog box is displayed. If the connection test fails, an error message is displayed.

Click the Cancel button to return to the Managed Host Information settings screen, and then click the OK button.
