Connecting to DataMagic Server

DataMagic Manager connects to a DataMagic Server machine via the TCP/IP protocol. Before the connection is attempted, run the ping command with the host name or IP address specified to make sure that the DataMagic server machine can be recognized.

Running a ping test

Start the command prompt, and then enter the following to execute ping:

Example: This example uses an IPv4 address for testing.

ping destination-host-name: Example: ping XS34BA
