Notes on settings

(1) Number of fields

Maximum number of fields for the field settings is 10000 including individual cells and tables.

(2) Handling of date

If you specify type D in Excel input, dates are handled as below.

• If the display format of the target cell is date, time, or user-defined date and the cell contains date data

  Converts the serial date number in Excel to a date.

• Other than the above

  Converts the date character string to a date.

If you specify type D in Excel output, a serial date number in Excel is output unless specifying a display format for the target cell.

The year 1900, which is not actually a leap year, is treated as a leap year in Excel, but DataMagic does not treat it as a leap year. Due to this, if a date before March 1, 1900 is output to a D-type cell, a seri number of one day later is output.

February 29, 1900 in Excel is treated as March 1, 1900 in DataMagic.

Specify type M for the target cell if a date before March 1, 1900 is output. If you specify type M, the date character string is output.

(3) Fonts used for output to Excel files

When outputting to Excel files, the following fonts are used, depending on the value set for Language (huledlang) in the system environment settings file (huledenv.conf).

• If JPN is selected: ＭＳ Ｐゴシック

• If ENG is selected: Calibri
