Fields settings
This section explains the fields of hierarchy format information.
(1) Field for Hierarchy Format - Detailed Information
ID
The ID used to identify registered hierarchy format information
Business group
A business group for which general users have access rights.
Alternatively, a business group that is used as a filter condition only.
Comment
Comment about the hierarchy format information.
Field tree
The tree view of the registered hierarchy format information.
Fields to be set when the field attribute is Group
Field name
The name that identifies the groups.
Maximum no. of occurrences (type)
The specification method for the maximum number of occurrences of the relevant group.
Record containing the number of occurrences
A record name including fields that store the maximum number of occurrences of the relevant group.
Field containing the number of occurrences
The field name that store the maximum number of occurrences of the relevant group.
Escape condition
The condition for exiting relevant group occurrences.
Comment
Comment about each field.
Category
The format for handling key values and keys in the data that are set as escape conditions. This is displayed if Escape condition is A matching key exists.
Starting point of the key that occurred
The key start position for escaping the relevant group. This is displayed if Escape condition is A matching key exists.
Key value that occurred
The key value for escaping the relevant group. This is displayed if Escape condition is A matching key exists.
Fields to be set when the field attribute is Record
Field name
The name that identifies the record.
Format ID
The format ID used when occurrence conditions are met.
No-hit behavior
The behavior when the conditions set for the key in the data did not match the key value.
Occurrence condition
The condition for whether to handle data as the relevant record.
Category
The format for handling key values and keys in the data that are set as occurrence conditions. This is displayed if Escape condition is A matching key exists.
Starting point of the key that occurred
The key start position for determining whether to handle data as the relevant record. This is displayed if Escape condition is A matching key exists.
Key value that occurred
The key value for determining whether to handle data as the relevant record. This is displayed if Escape condition is A matching key exists.
Comment
Comment about each field.
(2) Field for Hierarchy Format Information Field Settings
Group/Record
Specify either Group or Record for the attribute of the field to be set.
- Group

: Specify this attribute when defining a group consisting of multiple groups or records.
- Record
-
: Specify this attribute when defining information for actual input/output data.
Fields to be set when Group is selected in Group/Record
Group name
The name that identifies the group.
Maximum number of occurrences (type)
The specification method for the maximum number of occurrences of the relevant group.
- Unrestricted
-
: Number of occurrences not restricted.
- Fixed value
-
: Specify Maximum number of occurrences with a numerical value.
- Field Name
-
: Specify the field name to store the maximum number of occurrences.
Maximum number of occurrences
The maximum number of occurrences for the relevant group. Specify a value if Maximum no. of occurrences (type) is set to Fixed.
Comment
Comment about each field.
Record containing the number of occurrences
The record name including fields that store the maximum number of occurrences of the relevant group. Specify a value if Maximum no. of occurrences (type) is set to Field name.
Field containing the number of occurrences
The field name that store the maximum number of occurrences of the relevant group. Specify a value if Maximum no. of occurrences (type) is set to Field name.

You must set the Field type of the fields that you can specify to either 9, B, F, P, S, or Z, and then set Number of occurrences to 1.

Clicking the Browse... button displays the Select Field (Hierarchy Format) screen. On this screen, specify Record name and Field name. For details about the fields on the screen, see 3.5.2 Fields settings (3).
Condition
The condition for exiting relevant group occurrences. For details, see DataMagic Operation Manual.
- No conditions
-
: Escape condition not specified. If the input data does not hit any records within the relevant group, the system will escape the group.
- Key match
-
: If the key in the data matches Key value that occurred, the system escapes the relevant group.
Category
Select whether to handle the key value and key within the data that were set as the escape conditions or the occurrence conditions as either character format or binary format.
If Input kanji code type is JIS and the data type for the Key value is M, specify Binary.
- Character

: Specify the key value by using characters.
- Binary
-
: Specify the key value by using hexadecimal character strings.
Starting point of the key that occurred
If Key match is set as the Condition, specify the start position for the key. Specify a value from 1 to 32740. The unit is bytes.
Key value that occurred
The key value for recognizing the relevant record.
If Key match is selected for Condition, specify this item.
Fields to be set when Record is selected in Group/Record
Record name
The name that identifies the record. Duplicate values cannot be used within the same ID.
Format ID
The format ID used when occurrence conditions are met.
Specify the ID registered in the format information.
Condition
The condition for whether to handle data as the relevant record. For details, see DataMagic Operation Manual.
- No conditions
-
: Always treated as the relevant record.
- The Key match
-
If the key in the data matches Key value that occurred, the system treats the key as the relevant record.
Category
Select whether to handle the key value and key within the data that were set as the escape conditions or the occurrence conditions as either character format or binary format.
If Input kanji code type is JIS and the data type for the Key value is M, specify Binary.

: Reuses the values used for processing the previous time in the relevant record.
When the relevant record is processed for the first time, the default values are used.

Comment
Comment about each field.
(3) Fields for Select Field (Hierarchy Format)
ID
The hierarchy format information ID used during editing.
Field tree
The list of the fields whose values were input and fixed prior to the record in the relevant group using the hierarchy that is the same as the relevant group or the upper levels.
Field type
The field type selected from Field Tree.
(4) Fields for Hierarchy Format Information Preview
Field list
The group, record, and field tree view set in the hierarchy format information.
Depending on the attributes of the selected field, the detailed information that is displayed varies.

When the group is selected
Detailed information that is displayed if the attribute of the selected field is Group.

Detailed information that is displayed if the attribute of the selected field is Record.
