Notes on migrating management information between the encryption version and the non-encryption version
(1) Notes on migration from Encryption version to No Encryption version
In the DataMagic encryption version, the following information is encrypted:
-
The password for user information
-
The password for database connection information
If management information including the above information is migrated from the encryption version of DataMagic to the non-encryption version of DataMagic, the user information specified in the encryption version of DataMagic cannot be used for logging in. For example, if the password for database connection information is included, the connection to the database might fail and the data processing might terminate abnormally. Reconfigure management information, if necessary.
(2) Notes on migration from No Encryption version to Encryption version
The following types of management information cannot be migrated by using export files when migrating from a no encryption version to an encryption version.
-
User information
-
Database connection information
If you attempt to migrate a no encryption version, along with management information that includes the above types of information, to an encryption version, an error occurs during importing management information.
Register the management information again from the screen, or change the PASSWD_ENC tag to the PASSWD tag in the export file to register a password before the import.
