Conversion of KEIS fullwidth spaces

When converting the fullwidth space code of Shift JIS, EUC, IBM kanji and JEF to KEIS, you can select the code for a fullwidth space of the output KEIS file.

You can set KEIS fullwidth space in the Output Settings screen to choose the code from 0xA1A1 and 0x4040. For details about KEIS fullwidth space in the Output Settings screen, see DataMagic Reference Manual.

When converting any encoding other than Shift JIS, EUC, IBM kanji or JEF to KEIS, any fullwidth space code is converted to 0xA1A1.

Note

  • Conversion of KEIS fullwidth spaces is only available for the DataMagic Server grade. You cannot perform conversion of KEIS fullwidth spaces in the DataMagic Desktop grade.

  • The fullwidth-space code added for the digit matching of type N is 0xA1A1 only. For details about digit matching, see Data processing when digit matching occurs.
