Examples for Using the Data Processing Program

This chapter provides examples of using the data processing program.

The sample input files used for examples in this chapter are stored in the Examples folder in the download module or provided media.

If you specify the files below on the Import Management Information screen, you can import all of the samples used in the examples in this chapter.

Japanese: \Examples\Alligen.txt (in Examples_ja.zip)

English: \Examples\Alligen.txt (in Examples_en.zip)

Note

  • In the sample, input and output files, merged files, and virtual tables are assumed to be stored under the folder Examples, located immediately under C drive (c:\), and the paths for the files to be named accordingly. For UNIX/Linux, change the paths to their counterpart path under the folder Examples on the OS. To change the pathnames, press the Replace button in the Data Processing Settings screen to open a dialog for replacing the paths.

  • In the sample, user exit programs and SQLite files are assumed to be stored under the folder Examples immediately under C drive (c:\), and the paths for the files to be named accordingly. For UNIX/Linux, change the paths specified in database connection information to their counterpart path under the folder Examples on the OS.

  • Check permissions on the folder Examples for the user with which DataMagic Server was started.

  • To import the sample on the Import Management Information screen, set Shift JIS for Kanji code type (or use -k S as a parameter for the utlediupdt command).
