Error Data File

The same data in the input records is output to the Error Data File.

The output specifications of the Error Data File are shown in the following.

  • The Error Data File can only be newly created or overwritten. You cannot write additional data to the file.

  • If you specified the Error Data File in the utled command, the file will always open while utled is activated.

  • If the input file contains a BOM, the Error Data File will also contain a BOM.

  • If no data is written to the Error Data File by the time the utled command is finished, the Error Data File will be deleted.

  • If data is written to the Error Data File, even if an error occurs that does not permit processing to continue, the Error Data File will not be deleted.

  • The records for the input source data are output to the Error Data File unconverted. For CSV format files, the line break code will also be the same.

  • The Error Data File supports network file lock.
