Types of layout information

Layout information refers to information that defines the structure of input files and output files. The following is information to be set:

• Data format

• Field name

• Field type

• Data size (number of bytes)

The following data formats are called as the layout information: CSV, Format, Multi Format, Hierarchy Format, XML, Excel, and Database Table.

For data in text format, you do not need to set layout information. For data in CSV format, you can omit layout information settings.

To specify layout information settings, from the Layout Information area in the Start Page of the DataMagic Management screen, select an applicable data format.
