Input file information settings
In these settings, you specify data to be input during data processing.
In the Layout tab of the Input Settings screen, select a data format to be used for data processing from CSV, Format, Multi Format, Hierarchy Format, XML, Excel, Text, and Database table. Specify an ID and path of the input file. In addition, specify information fields depending on the file format.
For details about input fields, see the Online Help.
(1) ID
Specify an input file ID.
If you have already registered the layout information, click the Browse button next to the ID to select the registered information from the information selection screen. To create a new entry of layout information, click the Browse button next to the ID of the Input Settings screen.
When the format of the output file is CSV, you can omit ID. If you omit, enclosure character and delimiter are set.
(2) Handling of a title line (when the input file format is CSV)
When the input data is in the CSV format, lines in the input file from the title line up until a specified line are handled as title lines and not as input data. To copy title rows into an output file, specify the title rows on the Output Settings screen also.
The rows that you specified as title rows are skipped, and the subsequent rows are considered as input data. You can select the type of the input data from any of the following: input file, merged file, matching file, or virtual table file.
If you selected the merged file type, after skipping the specified number of rows in the input and merged files, merge processing is executed.
If you want to skip title rows, select the Use header record check box and specify the number of rows to be skipped on the Input Settings screen, the Matching Settings screen, or the Virtual Table Settings screen under the Data Processing Settings screen.
If the lines of the input data are equal to or less than the specified number of lines, the input data is handled as 0-byte data. For details about handling 0-byte input data, see Table 3.1 Operation when the input data is 0 bytes.
