User accounts that are automatically registered during installation

(1) admin

This is the administrator user of DataMagic. The user ID is "admin", which cannot be changed. In addition, you cannot delete the admin user. The displayed name is built-in administrator user.

The password of the administrator user (admin) is set as admin by default. Change the password as needed after the first login.

(2) User who starts DataMagic

This is the user who starts DataMagic. The user ID is "root" in UNIX, and NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM in Windows.

This user is used to start the DataMagic service and the Request Acknowledge daemon. The user ID is "root" in UNIX, and "SYSTEM" in Windows, and these user IDs cannot be changed. Also, you cannot delete the root user and SYSTEM user. The displayed name is built-in OS user.

(3) OS user account used to install DataMagic

The OS user account with which you installed DataMagic. The user account is automatically registered in DataMagic and assigned the administrator permissions of DataMagic.

If the installation user is "admin" or "SYSTEM", the user is already registered as "admin" or "SYSTEM".
