When using a user exit program of the 32-bit version

(1) Target customers

This section is applicable to customers who meet both of the following conditions:

  • In versions earlier than Ver.2.2 HULFT-DataMagic for UNIX/Linux, data is converted by a user exit program that is built as a 32-bit application.

  • The 64-bit version of the main module for UNIX/Linux is planned to be installed.

(2) Precautions

In Ver.2.2 for UNIX/Linux, the main module and other modules now support the native 64-bit version.

When you build a user exit program, you must make sure that the architecture of DataMagic and of the operating system are the same as the architecture of the user exit program.

If the 64-bit version of DataMagic for UNIX/Linux is installed, build the user exit program as a 64-bit application.

About details, see DataMagic Operation guide.
