Excel Settings in database connection information and database table information

Overview of function

In HULFT-DataMagic Ver.2, database connection information and database table information was specified when Excel files were input or output.

Operation recommended for DataMagic

In DataMagic Ver.3, you can specify Excel information to be used as input or output files for data processing. You do not need database connection information or database table information

You can also use database connection information and database table information to input or output Excel files as in HULFT-DataMagic Ver.2. However, note that the function for inputting and outputting Excel files by using database connection information and database table information is likely to be discontinued in later versions and revisions. As far as possible, use Excel information.

The Excel information must have the file extension ".xlsx", which corresponds to Excel 2007 or later. However, only the input file is allowed the file extension ".xls", which corresponds to Excel 97-2003. If you intend to output the Excel file with the file extension ".xls", which corresponds to Excel versions earlier than Excel 2007, use database connection information and database table information.
