Changes in names of environment variables used in DataMagic (for UNIX/Linux only)
|
In previous versions, both DataMagic and HULFT used environment variables that had the same names. From DataMagic Ver.3 onward, DataMagic uses environment variables whose names are unique to DataMagic.
- The environment variable DMEXEP
-
Specifies the directory to store the execution module (bin) for DataMagic.
- The environment variable DMPATH
-
Specifies the directory to store the environment settings file (etc) for DataMagic.
In previous versions, both DataMagic and HULFT used the same environment variable name, "HULPATH".
- Example:
-
export HULPATH=Directory of DataMagic utled export HULPATH=Directory of HULFT utlsend export HULPATH=Directory of DataMagic utled
DataMagic Ver.3 uses a different environment variable, so the above command operation is not required.
- Example:
-
export HULPATH=Directory of HULFT export DMPATH=Directory of DataMagic utled utlsend utled
From DataMagic Ver.3 onward, specify a different installation destination from that of HULFT, and then specify the DataMagic environment variables (DMEXEP and DMPATH). For environment variables that are used in HULFT-DataMagic Ver.2 or earlier, see Using the environment variables HULEXEP and HULPATH (for UNIX/Linux only).
If you specify DMPATH, the EBCDIC user table is also referenced by using the path set in DMPATH.
