No Encryption version

When DataMagic Manager connects to DataMagic Server, the communication is usually encrypted by SSL. However, to execute data processing flexibly with users overseas, DataMagic Server, DataMagic Manager, and DataMagic Desktop provide no encryption versions. If you choose a no encryption version, you can communicate between DataMagic Manager and DataMagic Server unencrypted.

To communicate with a no encryption version, you can switch between whether to enable or disable encryption settings in the Managed Host Information screen in DataMagic Manager. Because this can be set for each host that the system is connecting, you can configure a system that contains an encryption version and a no encryption version, and execute access control by using a combination of communication methods.

Because DataMagic Desktop runs standalone, you can install either a normal version or no encryption version regardless of the communication method.

The connectivity when the encryption version and the no encryption version products are mixed in the system configuration is shown as below.

Note

A no encryption version of DataMagic Manager can connect to an encryption version of DataMagic Server and reference information such as management information. If your system includes both the no encryption version and the encryption version, you must configure user rights by using business groups to prevent information from being referenced.
