Multi Format

Multi Format is a data format used to handle a file in which records consist of multiple data formats. For a file of this format, what is called "key value" (such as data category) is necessary. The key values are used to distinguish different formats of the records.

For a record of the format, Key length (length of key) and Key start position (position in record where the key value starts) must be specified. You can choose the method to specify the keys from "unified settings" or "separate settings".

Unified settings

Specify keys of the same length across all the format IDs contained in the Multi Format format.

Separate settings

Specify up to three types of keys per format ID in a Multi Format format.
