System configuration of DataMagic

DataMagic allows you to select either of the following grades depending on the system type or scale.

• DataMagic Server grade (Windows, UNIX, Linux, zLinux)

• DataMagic Desktop grade (Windows)

The DataMagic Server grade is for the enterprise systems that provide rich functions to support various types of data processing. The DataMagic Server grade requires DataMagic Manager for various operations.

The DataMagic Desktop grade is for the small and mid-sized systems that compactly provide functions necessary for data processing. The DataMagic Desktop grade is used in standalone configurations on Windows machines.
